Each summer they show free movies in the park every Sunday and Wednesday. Some movies are family friendly, but some are not. We take advantage of all those that we can. And we sure do have a blast! We bring some snacks, some blankets and just sit back and enjoy. Here is a beautiful sky above Schenley Park in Oakland where we went for our movie fun.

This week at Josiah's preschool the kids had a ton of fun. They hunted easter eggs, ate some treats, read some fun stories, played games, and did some crafts. But they also did something with a purpose. They had a Ho-A-Thon to raise money for the MDA and kids that can't use their muscles well. All week they learned about different disabilities and how these kids are like them in every way except how their muscles work. What a fun time! Enjoy the video.

It was so cute how Samuel went and sat with Josiah and his class to wait for directions on the egg hunt. While all the mommys hid the eggs the kids went into the hall and read a story, Samuel lined right up and went out with them too. The party had to be inside because of the rain, but it was still a blast!

The last couple of weeks we had the great privilege of watching a friend's little boy. His name is Isaac and he is 22 months old. He is so fun. We had a ton of fun. Playing dress up, dancing, jumping around, tickle fights, reading stories, and we even managed to make it outside a few times even though it was crazy cold. Today was a very fun day for the boys and I. We got to go and play in the yard after lunch! We've been watching our snowman slowly melt over the last week or so. Becoming the only blob of snow left in the yard, until it was barely able to be seen. So today when we went out I went to the spot where now lays a bunch of scattered stones, a rotten carrot nose, some sticks that were his arms, and this tiny bit of snow, the last of Capt. Snowy, our pirate snowman.

After the kids went to bed Christmas Eve John and I set to the task of setting up a HUGE (10 ft x 14 ft) tent in our living room. We moved furniture, but it still took up the whole room. We even put one of the couches back inside the tent. We then set up all the wrapped camping supplies inside the tent and zipped up the door. We put gates up so the kids would naturally come to our room in the morning and not go into the living room. We had them open their stockings with us in our room. One of the gifts inside were headlamp flashlights. We had them put them on and go down the hall to explore. And there they found the giant tent! They were so excited. Can't wait to take them camping when it gets warm!
