For our first anniversary Allison and I went to Chimney Rock in western NC. Little did we know one day we would live just about 30 minutes from this beautiful place! I spend a great deal of time climbing around on these mountains.

August 11th was our 6th anniversary. So we decided to go back to Chimney Rock one last time before we pack up and move to Pittsburgh. This is a picture of Allison and I after a hefty climb up to the peak of the Hickory Nutt Gorge. A simple 1,400 foot climb. (right...simple)

From here we hiked to Hickory Nutt Falls. Its one of the highest waterfalls in the eastern US (404 feet). It was a great day out. It was h-o-t, but fun.

Afterwards we had lunch at the Chimney Rock Cafe', a little dinner in Lake Luke, NC.
