The purpose of the hoop house is to make a space for year round crop production for people who live in the urban parts of Pittsburgh. It's urban farming. The city gave us an old abandoned baseball field right in the middle of the projects of Pittsburgh. Since then the field has been transformed into an urban farm for families in need. The only problem is it is seasonal. With the addition of the hoop house the Project will be able to provide fresh veggies to people all year round.

Jesus said: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." We're just a group of men who love Jesus and we are trying to follow His example by loving our neighbors with tomatoes and peppers.

Here is a picture (from left to right) of Mark, Brian, Guy, Me, Rob, and Chris. We still have a bit to go, but we got a good start this weekend. Here are some of our pictures.
