Ok, so he's not smiling, but boy is this one of my all time favorite pictures of Josiah. I caught him a little off guard, He was playing in the sun beside the kitchen table while Abigail and I had lunch, and I thought he looked so cute, i'd try to take a picture. The light was so perfect that his eyes just shine so much. I can't believe I get to look into those beautiful blue eyes every day, man he's a handsome kid.
After a little hard wrestle time on the floor, Josiah and I (John) took a break. He likes to lay on my legs and look at me upsidedown. Here is the upsidedown man now.
Josiah is such a little boy. He has really taken to wrestling with me in the evenings when I come home from work. He grins from ear to ear as I spin him around and wrestle with him. Here is a picture Allison took of us yesterday. He may only weigh about 18 pounds, but he can take me down! He's so much fun!
Here is Josiah sleeping on his belly, for the first time. Though he has been able to roll over for months, he hasn't done so in bed. Or even when he does he screams I am a belly sleeper myself, and could never understand why he didn't like it. .But yesterday there he was sleeping cute as can be on his belly.
I had a box of stuff that used to be Abigail's when she was smaller, and didn't play with anymore, but had put away. The other day I decided to unpack it and see if Josiah would like, so I got it out. And you know what they say about all that stuff seeming new again. Abigail was enjoying the stuff more than Josiah. She'd say, I remember this, I love this, remember this Mommy! Here they are enjoying their "new" toys together.
The last few evenings have been so gorgious here, so Daddy has been taking the kiddos for a stroll around the path in the double stroller after dinner.This is something only Daddy can do, and I get to watch and walk along side, because I swear that thing has to weigh 100 pounds. Here is Josiah loving it. Usually he's facing forward but in this pic we decided to put him in facing Abigail. It's so funny to watch him lean up and hold on and look around. He sure loves going off-road. As i've said before, he's such a boy!
Lately Abigail has really taken a liking to "driving." Whether it be sitting on Daddy's lap on the tractor, or just in the seat of the Jeep, she loves it. And of course, has to yell, "Look, I'm driving!" So here she is, driving. She's so darn sweet.
Over the last week or so Josiah has been plagued by allergies/getting another tooth or something that has made the little guy full of snot. Here he is occupying his time waiting for breakfast to be served. He truly is all boy, check out that snot bubble.
I'd like to tell you that this was a picture of the first time Josiah was ever on the swing out back. But really the first time was a few weeks ago, and Abigail was so excited to watch, she wanted to push him, so she ran behind him, the swing caught her under the chin, knocked her flat on her butt, and then no more swing for that day. She had quite a fat lip for a few days, and now stays pretty far away when he's swinging. Though yesterday when he was swinging nice and slow she came up to him and tickled his feet, and he just laughed at her, I love watching them together, so much fun.
What a sweet little man, all kicked back with his arm on the side of the swing, he sure was enjoying himself.
I have realized that i've been a little Josiah heavy with my blog postings. Then I started looking at some of the recent pictures I have of Abigail, and she is in her underwear, and nothing else, in ALL of them. Just can't keep clothes on this kid. Like this picture from during breakfast this morning, we were eating, in our pjs, all normal, then she takes her shirt off, or at least partially. Then she started singing "Happy Birthday" to herself. What a silly kid!
Not quite sure what he is pointing at, but he sure looks excited about it. I love being able to take him outside and sit him in the grass, and he loves it too! Yeah, warm days are coming!
Oh, the joy of picking at the grass on a sunny day. Here is our little man examining the grass that has popped up admists all the dirt. It's really funny, because he will sit there and move his feet, and he eventually wore a hole in the grass and got his sock really dirty.
After a major poop today I counted my loses and just decided to give Josiah a bath. He doesn't seem to mind at all. He had so much fun, splashing and what not, notice all that water on his face, and check out the next picture, he's just so funny. I love this little guy!
Check out that face, our little man was just trying so hard to splash all of the water out of the tub, he is so funny. Look at all the water all over his face, unlike his sister, he doesn't care, seems that the more the better. Funny stuff!
As I mention in the following picture, I used to push Abigail in the laundry basket all the time when she was a baby. And I just did it with Josiah for the first time. Well later on that evening John decided to get in it, and I of course, along with Abigail's help, tried to push him. Of course, he didn't move an inch. But then all the kids pilled in and it was a grand old time, silly Daddy!
I used to put Abigail in the laundry basket all the time and push her around, but i've never done it with Josah. But the other day, I just needed to put him down to do something and the basket was sitting in the kitchen after having put some clothes in the wash. So I just put him in it, then gave him a spoon and a mixing bowl and let him have at it. He just loved it. And later on, after taking the spoon away, of course, I pushed him around the house, and boy did he just laugh. Fun times with my little guy!
For as long as she's been alive, everyone has always said, "Just put a goate on that kid and she'll look just like John." Well here you have it a blue drool goate from having a sucker. And you know what she does look like him, of course he doesn't have long blonde hair, but you know you get the picture.
Josiah outgrew his infant tub very quickly because he is such a big boy. He has been getting a bath in a craddle made to sit in the tub. But now he is able to sit up and take a bath in this seat and he sure does love it.
I got a bag full of clothes and stuff from a friend that didn't want them anymore. Some of them were super cute, and i'll be wearing them as soon as I can get them washed. However, some were not so cute. Someone thought they were perfect to play with though, I wonder who it is under there?
Oh, it's just Abigail under there. Cutest bag lady i've ever seen. She is so much fun!
Ok, so this is like the 6th time i've tried to post this, so this will not be as elequent as the origional was. For at least a month now Josiah's tags in his clothes have said 6 months (or bigger) and finally he's as old as they say. I can't believe he's a half a year old already, he's getting so big. I can't help but think how much more like a little guy he looks than a helpless baby every time I see him sitting up playing with something. WOW! It sure goes fast!
