The adventures of the Reilly family.
Well the snow is finally all gone, it has been for almost two weeks now. But here is Josiah and his friend from next door Kurt working hard at trying to break up the snow that just wouldn't go away. It was actually really nice to have it be like 45 or 50, but still play in the snow. It offered a ton of fun, but we are now very glad Spring is here!!!!
Look at my big boy walking, holding my hand as we head out to play in the backyard now that it's warm!
Samuel loves being able to be outside since its warmed up and the snow is gone. He loves the slide. He'll climb the ladder and then i'll put him on my lap and we'll go down the slide together. He's even gone a couple times by himself, with me just holding on to his hand on the side as he goes down.
The first time Samuel went out to play after the snow melted he went up the ladder all by himself so well, I stayed behind him just to make sure, I snapped this pic really quickly on a second trip up, just as he started. I can't believe how big he is getting!
The other day, before heading out to the library, Josiah wanted his hair spiked. He also wanted to do it himself. So we went to the big mirror in my room and I gave him some gel. Here he is admiring his work. He is pretty darn handsome!
We had a great weekend in the snow last weekend. We've had so much snow, too much really to play too much, but thanks to some of it melting and creating a nice crust and then fresh snow we were able to play out and walk on top of most of it, but still have a good bit (nearly 8 new inches) to still play with. They really loved being able to walk on top of it all. We had a great weekend. Enjoy the pics!
There really is nothing more fun than a slippery slide combined with slippery snowpants and then sliding down into the snow!
As you've seen in previous posts we've had some fun with balloons recently. So why not take one outside. Here is Abigail having a good old time!
The balloon was fun, but with the wind it just blew around like crazy, and eventually up and over the fences and on up the neighborhood.
Josiah is helping me to build the snowman. Poor snowman, he didn't last too long as the weather warmed up, but he was cool while he lasted. We even gave him hair with some leaves.
These are some pics of Abigail and Josiah's first sled riding outing this past weekend. We borrowed a sled from the neighbor and headed to Abigail's school and took on a pretty steep hill. The kids loved it! The just laughed the whole time, especially when they flew over the big bump at the bottom of the hill that was created by the snow plow. The pics are staged as someone was at the top with them, then someone had to make sure they stopped at the bottom. But it was so much fun!!!!!
