You caught me

Lovin' Uncle Mike

Last year neither Abigail nor Mike got to see one anothe much r, or anyone else for that matter. They were both very sick at Thanksgiving. But this year was a different story she sure did enjoy being with him. Here she is shortly after the big meal, when she crawled up in his lap and just hung out for awhile. I don't know what it is, but she looks like such a big girl there, maybe its the way her hair looks. Just wish I could have gotten her to look at the camera.

Morning snuggles

This past week we spent the week at my (Allison's) mom's. It was a week of craziness to put it mildly. There were people sleeping everywhere. Here is Josiah shortly after he let his cousins know that it was time to get up. He did this by jumping on Cynthia (the one on the right). They then rolled around in the blankets and stopped to pose for this cute pick.

Josiah sure does love getting into cabinets, here he is with a can of diced tomatoes he took from the pantry, when I apparently left the door open enough for him to get his little hand in.

Josiah in the cabinet....Again

This time we're at Grandma's, but cabinets are still cool. Here he is getting some pans out. He would take them and walk to the living room, where he'd hand them over to Uncle Mike.

Josiah spends some quality time each day in his play pen so Mommy can get some stuff done. Well the other day he was feeling a little grumpy during his stay there, so Daddy picked up Abigail and put her in there to be silly. Turns out, it worked, they both had a great time!

Looking out in anticipation

Looking out in anticipation
Originally uploaded by TheReillys
This morning I (John) woke up and looked out the window through my blurry eyes and saw WHITE! I was so excited for Abigail! This is the first snow we have had since we have moved to Pittsburgh that has stuck to the ground. This is a picture of Abigail looking out the window in anticipation. She was so excited that she called me on my cell while I was out running errands this morning!

SNOW BALL FIGHT!

SNOW BALL FIGHT!
Originally uploaded by TheReillys
Perhaps the most fun thing we did outside today was Abigail, Allison and myself went out for a little snowball fight. While we were running around yelling and laughing and throwing snow at each other Abigail yelled, "What is this called!" We told her it was a snowball fight. I think it was the most fun thing she did today.

Even thought there was no more than 1/2 inch of snow on the ground, Abigail wanted to try out all the snow activities she could. We made a 8 inch tall snowman, made snow angels, and rolled around. It was a fun first snow!

Where's the snow?

Where's the snow?
Originally uploaded by TheReillys
Last week we got to see some snow, it sure wasn't much, but great fun for Abigail all the same. In this picture she's wondering where it went. It wasn't snowing on this particular day, but it was cold, though she didn't deem it cold enough to wear her gloves. At least that's what she told me after we got outside and she took them off and dropped them in the yard.

Chillin' out, but keeping warm

We are certainly not going to let a little cold keep us inside. Here is Josiah taking a break on the porch swing after running, or at least trying to run, around the yard in all his winter paraphernalia. It is so heavy that sometimes he falls over from the weight of it all, it's pretty funny stuff.

Happy boy!

When we first moved in Josiah had only been walking for a couple weeks, and even then he crawled mostly. But now he is a full time walker. And most of the time runner. Here he is running toward me this morning. He popped from around the corner, and realized I had the camera, so he picked up his pace. But I managed this cute shot before he got me.

The kids enjoyed hay rides, "straw jumping" and picking out their own pumpkins. Check out the pictures that follow. This one here is a neat old tractor at the entrance to the farm.

Sensible Ballerina

Sensible Ballerina
Originally uploaded by TheReillys
Last night was Halloween. We really weren't planning on doing the trick or treating thing. But some of the neighbors told Abigail to just come on over. So I went looking for something she could possibly wear to dress up in. She just happened to have this way too cute tutu. Karen gave it to her for her birthday and she's used it quite alot to do dances around the house. But it doubles nicely as a Halloween costume, I think. Here she is right before heading out for her rounds, of course the tutu in and of itself would have been a little chilly, so she's got a turtleneck and tights on too. She's posing next to her "scary" pumpkin she carved with her Daddy. Oh, notice the bag beside her. It's empty now, but after only going to like 8 houses it was full enough to break the strings. People were giving her like 6 pieces of candy. I mean how could they resist our cute ballerina. We're having a good time here in Pittsburgh! As i'm sure Abigail would tell you.
