Welcome

Welcome
Originally uploaded by TheReillys
This past weekend we took a trip back to my (Allison's) home to welcome my brother Adam home from Iraq. His wife put together a party at the American legion, and we, especially the kids, had a good time getting to see them all. We're so glad he's home!

We LOVE Ashley and Chrissy!!!

We LOVE Ashley and Chrissy!!!
Originally uploaded by TheReillys
This past weekend some friends of ours from Marion, where we just moved from, came for a visit. Ashley and Chrissy Wooten made the 8 hour trip to hang with us while it was 8 degrees outside. We had a great time with them, and the kids especially were sad to see them go.

WOW! You made my hair stand up!

Our kids have some major static issues. Chrissy didn't help matters by rubbing a balloon on Josiah's head. But he looks pretty excited about it.

Josiah didn't know he could fly, but he can, and he loved it. Chrissy mentioned that morning that he looked a bit like one of the kids off of Peter Pan walking around in his footie jammies. This just made that even more true.

Originally uploaded by TheReillys
Before we moved from NC Ashley and Chrissy went to a yard sale and got some great stuff for the kids. Among them was this cute set of black overalls. Chrissy just happens to have a pair that matches and Abigail requested that she bring them with her on their trip. So here they are, posing, with their matching bibs.

Ok, first let me clear this up, yes his gloves are pink. He's wearing Abigail's because I can't find one of his blue ones, but what does it really matter. Anyway, today was the first day he truly got to play in the snow, and he was dressed to the hilt for it, pink mittens and all. He sure did love it, especially since it was snowing while we were out there. I think if you look closely you can see the snow falling.

Here's our big man, feeding, himself. He is doing so great with it, slowly, but surely, as the gobs of applesauce on his face prove. Just one more step to not being a baby anymore. But he'll always be my little man.

As expected Josiah just wasn't quite sure what to think of on Christmas morning. Of course he was a little bit more aware than last year, when he couldn't even sit up yet. But he mostly just ran around and played with wrapping paper or boxes. It was a great time though. I think this face says it all.
