The adventures of the Reilly family.
After a wonderful Christmas Eve service at church, we each got to open one present (which Abigail thought were jammies, they were not, for her andJosiah anyway.) And then we enjoyed watching Charlie Brown Christmas and eating popcorn together. Don't Samuel and Daddy look so cute in their new jammies? Notice Daddy's are Charlie Brown. The kids picked those out themselves!

We were able to hang out with some really amazing friends. The Weimers were leaving on Christmas day to fly to Australia to work there for a year with Campus Crusade for Christ. So in the midst of all the packing and craziness we were able to take them some dinner, hang out and chat and let the kids play together. It was so fun and we're sad, yet excited to see them go. Please be praying for them as they do the Lord's work in Melbourne this coming year.
We got to hang out with our Uncle Adam, then we took him to the airport the next day. It was a super fun time of hanging out, which included A LOT of wrestle time!
We went to small group and hung out with our friends. We ate some yummy soup and had a great time. But no pics of that sorry!
Abigail and Josiah got to go on a date with Daddy. They had dinner and treats out and then they each picked out a new ornament.
Each of the kids picked out a puzzle ball ornament. What fun! It's an ornament and it's a fun activity!
We lit the advent candles and read our Bible together. It was a special, sweet time!
We hung out at Bonky's. She and Aunt Beckie took pics, and i'll post them as soon as we get them. ; )
We celebrated Samuel!!!!
His first gift to open was a new chair to sit on the front porch. It looks like a puppy and he loved it!
Samuel is very excited to open this one. It was his very own tool box with tools. He really is a big boy now!
Samuel takes a first look at his new potty. He's been using it for a week now, and he's doing great!
We went to the mall and road the train. It was tons of fun and we got to ride in the same car!
Samuel's a bit too little for candy canes, so he got a cookie instead. Yum! Glad to see someone washed his face before treat time. HA!
We took a trip in the snow to play BINGO at the library. Even Samuel played and won some prizes. Each of the kids had a great time and came home with a tiny squishy toy, a tree ornament and a book. What a fun time! It was snowing, so I didn't bother with my camera. This is a picture that someone drew of the library that I found on their website.
We did our Advent reading and lit the candles again. Can't believe its the third week of Advent already. This week we read all about how Jesus made came to make a selfless sacrifice to die for us and how we should be selfless toward others to show them His Light.
We had a movie night and watched Toy Story 3 together! What a fun time!
We went to an amazing concert with our church family. It was held at First Baptist Church in Oakland. It's a church that is nearly a hundred years old, and resembles an old European cathedral on the inside. It was an amazing evening of music worshiping the One we celebrate this Christmas.
We forgot to take a picture of our advent activity. Oops! Oh well, we enjoyed some chocolate together from an advent calendar our friends the Honeys gave us.
We went to buy toys and hats and gloves for the toy drive at church. The kids thought this was the best advent activity so far. They had so much fun picking out cool stuff for other kids who don't have as much as we do. So much fun to be a blessing to others!

I sure do love this time with our little ones, the candles, and reading all about our Savior.
One of the kids' favorite parts of the advent candle time is blowing the candle out at the end. This week was Abigail's turn.
We went to an awesome party at church! What a good time it was. We didn't take our camera, but someone got some good pics of our family. Enjoy!

Abigail loves to craft. So naturally she was in heaven at the party where she got to color, decorate her own cookies, make a reindeer hat, decorate a giant chocolate sucker, and just generally be creative.
Samuel's first real time helping bake. He did a great job of scooping the flour and dumping it into the bowl.
