The adventures of the Reilly family.
Last week, after returning from church, we sat down in the living room and John thought he saw something move across the floor. I had seen it too. And sure enough, it was this chipmunk. John eventually caught it in the kids' bug net and then we put it in the trash can with a lid and released him outside.
Here is Daddy releasing the chipmunk back into the wild. Well, at least back outside.
Last week we all went to Schenley Park for a free movie. We saw Monsters vs. Aliens. It was such a great time. We brought blankets and chairs, plenty of snacks and our friend Meagan. We hope to do it again sometime this summer.
This past week was VBS. The kids had a great time learning about how to be a Hero for God and making fun crafts, eating yummy snacks and making new friends.
We borrowed this wagon to take all our stuff to the park for the movie. Here is Samuel going for a ride as we take it back.
The other day while the big kids were at VBS Samuel and I went for a walk. We came across this puddle. Samuel started to smack it, then he spun around, and fell in the puddle. He got so messy we had to change his clothes. Guess the puddle won.
This past week we went to the library for a taekwondo demonstration. Here is Josiah with Cooper. He's 11, and could break boards with his hands and feet. Josiah thought that was so cool.
Samuel has become very good at using the water squirters. And he's not afraid to use his skill to get anyone wet.
The kids were playing in the pool. Abigail was pretending to be a rocking horse. Silly.
This past week we thought it was high time Samuel got his first haircut. So we strapped him into his highchair and Daddy did the job.

The other night we let the kids stay up late and we caught lightning bugs for the first time this summer. It was so fun. Look closely at this picture, right in front of Abigail's hands is the bug she almost caught.
This past weekend John and I met up with some friends and went kayaking. It was so fun! Here is my friend Bobbie and I getting ready to get into the kayaks.
The other night it was raining so we decided to have some fun with the Wii. Here is Josiah trying out the obstacle course.
Josiah trying the zen game on the Wii. He had to sit like this really still to keep a candle's flame lit. He lasted 6 seconds. Dumbest game ever!
This is Abigail playing her favorite game on the Wii fit. It's a math game and she has to bump her butt side to side or back to add up numbers. Fun!
The next few pics are off of John's phone. This is one of all the kids at Bonky's a few weeks back after roasting giant marshmallows. YUM!!!!

Here is Josiah with his banana pizza. We had read "A day in the life of Oscar the Grouch" and Oscar had bananas on his pizza. So the next time that we made our own pizza, Josiah requested bananas on his. He loved it!
Last night we surprised the kids with a trip to the Carneige Museum of Natural History. And the sun sets over the water of the fountain after we took a walk around outside the museum. What a fun evening!
The kids kept asking if the animals were real. Josiah was so in the museum "is it real" mode that when we walked in the park later he kept asking if the people were real.
The kids kept comparing the dinosaurs to daddy. This one, while not a dinosaur, was still much bigger than daddy. So cool!
The triceratops has always been Josiah's favorite. And why not, he was a tank just like our little man.
A house a few streets over have been getting a new sidewalk. We went over yesterday and watched them pour some of the cement. Good times.
After they were finished the cement truck driver let the kids get in the truck and blow the air horn. FUN!
Our next door neighbor had an old hunting tent he wanted to set up for the kids. So yesterday he did. And the kids loved it! When Daddy came home from work they were hiding in it. What fun!
Josiah is most looking forward to hiding in the tent and getting a better look at the animals that come into the yard.
