Big boy reading
I think that this is such a sweet shot. And i'm almost positive that I have one just like it of Abigail. But Josiah has recently taken to climbing up in his chair with a book on his own and reading. How precious is that?
The adventures of the Reilly family.
I think that this is such a sweet shot. And i'm almost positive that I have one just like it of Abigail. But Josiah has recently taken to climbing up in his chair with a book on his own and reading. How precious is that?
The other day when I served the kids their snacks they really didn't want to sit in their chairs, but as soon as I took them out they sat down on the floor and started eating instead. Here is Josiah offering a cracker to Abigail. What a good sharer...sometimes.
Abigail was pretty excited to have her big foam letters back. Here she is striking quite the pose while dancing on them. I had to put the camera on fast motion to catch her craziness. What a silly girl.
We recently got a "new" batch of toys from storage at Bonky's house that we haven't seen since we moved. It was like an early Christmas for the kids. Here is Josiah trying to roll the ball through the newly rediscovered tunnel. Notice the intense concentration.
Here Josiah is taking his new favorite toy, an old Marcs Toys elephant, through the tunnel.
Here are Abigail and Josiah trying to go through the tunnel at the same time in different directions. They fit, barely.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
You know sometimes life is crazy with my kids being so close in age. But I wanted to do it this way so they'd be pals. And when I see them doing sweet stuff like this it sure makes all the craziness worth it for sure. No doubt they love each other!
Here is our sweet little punkin with her newly earned Cubbies vest. For those of you that don't know, Cubbies is the 3-4 year old class of Awana where kids get to learn Bible stories, songs and play fun games. But the most exciting part, for Abigail at least, has been memorizing her Bible verses each week. She has done such a great job. She's even had to do extra to catch up since we moved here in the middle of the year. Tonight she got her Cubbies vest and her first patch for memorizing and then telling her first 5 Bible verses to her Cubbies leader. WE ARE SO PROUD!!!!
No Josiah hasn't grown a couple feet since my last post, this is just a little tree we have set up upstairs. I thought they just looked so sweet. He actually does really well not touching stuff, though he was reaching out here, I think it adds some cuteness to the picture.
John was putting something together the other day and Josiah just kept wanting to get at the drill. Once he was done, John stooped down and let Josiah take a closer look. He's in love already!
Here is Josiah just hanging out by the fireplace, looks like he's taken the snowman's mittens. I think Josiah probably needs them more, it's been quite cold and snowy here.
The day after we put up the big tree Abigail helped me put up all the little stuff around the house. When Josiah woke up from his nap and saw what we had done, he was fascinate. Here he is pointing it all out to Abigail.
Josiah has recently been responding to questions about his excitement with this face. The question posed to him here? Are you excited to put up the Christmas tree tonight? His response? "Heck yeah, and i've got my Christmas tree shirt on to prove it." Ok, maybe not in so many words, but the face says it all.
We thought that this was the perfect year for Abigail to start picking out her own ornament, so as part of her date with her Daddy Tuesday night she went to Pool City and got one. He sure is a cutie, a little snowman with pipe cleaner legs. Good choice Abigail! And we let her hang it first too.
As a tribute to perhaps THE best Christmas movie ever, we had Abigail pose with our ball of Christmas lights. But no matter how hard we tried, we couldn't get her to say, "A little knot here Russ." Oh well, she's cute stuff nonetheless.
Josiah was trying his best to help out with the setting up of the tree. Here he is after grabbing a branch and then wondering why it kept following him around after he was sure he put it down. It was funny to watch him drag that thing around. Silly boy!
I have for some time given Abigail a rag whenever i'm dusting, she likes to "help." This week I decided to give Josiah one too, he enjoyed helping out like big sister and being like Mommy too. Sweet kids.
I know we already posted a pic of him mopping, but I just thought he looked like such a big boy in his jeans and shirt Aunt Patty gave him. Plus this is actually a kid sized broom so he doesn't appear so ridiculous.
Sometimes Josiah and Abigail are just too cute together. Yesterday morning they were snuggling on the couch, but blanket was definitely fought over, if only playfully. Here is Josiah trying to get some of it.
