WOW that's cold
Abigail got a big ball that is a sprinkler last year for her birthday, we recently broke it out for the first time. She was really a little scared of it last year, but this year she'll get all up in it. Here she is just laughing so hard because the water was cold. But she said it felt so good, "cause it's hot out."
Showing Josiah
Josiah was a little unsure of the sprinkler, but big sister was there to show him how it worked.
Mary Poppin
Abigail has been slightly obsessed with this umbrella ever since our neighbor gave it to her. Someone saw her with it once and remarked how she looked like Mary Poppins. So I thought it would be fun to watch the movie, since she'd never seen it. Now ever since then she's had a great time playing, "Mary Poppin" as she calls her.

Getting her diploma
Last night was one of the sweetest, yet saddest things. Abigail had her preschool graduation. It was a great evening, with lost of songs, cute kids in caps and gowns, complete with each of them walking to get their diploma. Don't think I didn't cry a little watching that. Our big girl is getting bigger by the day. How not so long ago it was that I had to walk her around the apartment to calm her down as a newborn, or take her for walks in the stroller downtown in Marion, or those walks we'd take with her on her daddy's shoulders around the path. We love her so much and are so proud!!!!
Abigail and Taryn
This is Abigail and her best buddy Taryn. They met last year at Bible school, and when Abigail showed up at preschool and found out Taryn was there she was so excited. They had so much fun together all year. It will be really sad that they won't go to the same primary school. But they'll meet back up in 4th grade.
Something in my teeth?
During graduation the kids sang about 10 songs, all so cute. And there were sometimes I could hear Abigail's little voice distinctly. I think this picture is really funny though, she's picking something out of her teeth. Silly girl!
Singing a song?
Abigail, really did sing her heart out. But here she takes a time out to scratch her ear.

First bite
It was a big event, with brother and sister looking on in excitement, Daddy primed with the camera, and Mommy with the spoon ready to feed. Yesterday we took a big step forward in Samuel becoming a big boy... He started solid food. Ok, not solid, actually it's way closer to the consistency of the milk he's been drinking for 5 months than solid. But anyway, he had his first little bit of rice cereal. He took it like a champ too. He had a little hard time at first, but he would open his mouth each time that the spoon was brought to his lips. More than I can say for his brother or sister. In this picture he is looking a bit unsure, but he did great with this new adventure in his tiny life. I can't believe he's getting so big!
Sippy time
Samuel also did very well with his first go with a sippy cup. Look at him holding it and looking at it so curiously. What a big boy!
Ta da! 5 months old!
Each month on the 16th (the day he was born) I take a picture of Samuel on the couch in the same place. This months turned out so cute I had to share it with you.
Ha! I fell over
So he could only sit there so long without trying to sit himself up, and this is what happened. But he thinks it's funny.

Brotherly love
You know, I was a little uncertain how Josiah would take to having a baby around. He's always been a sweet little boy, very loving and snuggly. But definitely rough at times. But since the day we brought Samuel home he has done nothing but love him. Though he has tested some boundaries at times. And recently he has taken to loving on his little brother a little extra. Hugs and kisses all the time. While Samuel sometimes would rather him not, for the most part he eats it up. It really is very sweet. This is a picture I got as Samuel lay on the couch and Josiah came in for a hug and just lay on his belly. Samuel just rubbed Josiah's head and smiled and cooed. They really do love each other. I've got some great boys!

Mother's day tea
Yesterday Abigail had a Mother's Day tea at her preschool. It was perhaps one of the sweetest things i've ever done. My sweet little girl is growing up so fast. She had the dress she was going to wear picked out weeks in advance, and requested I wear one too, I did of course. We also painted our toes to match. When I showed up at her preschool myself and all the other mothers had to wait outside until our children came to escort us into the room. Once inside we were seated at nicel decorated tables, complete with planters that were made by our kids. The flowers were pictures of them! Abigail served me my tea (iced tea, so that they wouldn't burn themselves), helped me get my snack, and even cleaned up the mess when we were done. The end of the event was a group of songs sung by the whole class. So cute and so fun! I love being a Mommy!
Helping with the grass
It has been so rainy here, so the grass has just grown, and grown, and grown. But this morning John was determined to get it done. And Josiah was determined to help his daddy. He just couldn't stop talking about helping out. Once they made it outside the boys did a great job, and the yard looks awesome. Samuel, Abigail and I just observed from the swings.
